Lockdown with Cat

Forced lockdown has made me realise the importance of family, close friends and community. And cats. Twiglet, the cat in question, insists that she join me in my garden studio while I work.

As I try to make sense of the the whole COVID 19 thing, she quietly sleeps and makes almost zero demands. To her, nothing has altered, it’s all working fine so long as there is food and a place to sleep.

It is this ambivalent attitude that I find so refreshing, and probably affects the way I am now painting: without any form of preconception, just running with it. The whole experience is altering my perception, I am flying high above it unshackled, free.
